Studies have identified six different toxins in food and water that are associated with an increased risk of diabetes. The detox program outlined in this book can assist with the elimination of these toxins.
Fish. Fish is probably the best source of protein. Evidence suggests that eating moderate amounts of fish (twice a week) may improve triglycerides and help lower the risks for death from heart disease, dangerous heart rhythms, blood pressure, a tendency for blood clots, and the risk for stroke.
I can tell you from first hand experience, taking a moderate approach doesn’t work. It’s too easy to fall back into the same ‘ole habits. For me, cold turkey was the only way to go. That said, cleaning up one meal at a time is an approach others say worked best for them .
You might be surprised to discover there are three unbelievable natural remedies that I don’t believe the medical establishment—or, more specifically, the pharmaceutical companies—want you to know about.
Every person has a different condition and must respect the inner intelligence of the body. It doesn’t sound as if the savory vegetable drinks you are making are high in sugar, which would generally problematic for both type 1 and 2 diabetics if carb loads were high. Vegetable drinks are friendly to diabetics unless larger volumes of fruit juices are added. I added a vegetable broth in the cleansing and renewal drinks that I quite enjoy for its flavor and just how good I feel when I drink it. Vitamin C: Take Vitamin C, which helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins. However, avoid synthetic Vitamin C and get your vitamin C from vegetables and fruits or a wholefood supplement such as camu camu berry. A teaspoon of camu camu berry has 10 times the amount of Vitamin C of an orange! Add it to your juice or green smoothie in the morning.
On the first day use a scant tablespoon of the molasses to each glass of lemonade and reduce insulin by about 10 units. Daily from then on reduce the insulin as you increase the molasses to 2 full tablespoons per glass. When this proportion has been reached the insulin can normally be eliminated; then replace the molasses with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup in each glass. Make regular checks of the sugar level in the urine and blood to satisfy you and eliminate any possible fear. Vita Flex and color therapy may be used to advantage to stimulate the liver, pancreas, and spleen and thus insure proper use of the minerals supplied for diabetics. Many people with diabetes have found they no longer have need for insulin after the master cleanse. Avocados are known for their heart-healthy monounsaturated fat content. When substituting these fats for saturated fat, they can improve cholesterol levels, decreasing your risk of heart disease, according to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Magnesium. Magnesium deficiency may have some role in insulin resistance and high blood pressure. Research indicates that magnesium-rich diets may help lower type 2 diabetes risk. Whole grain breads and cereals, nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and soybeans), and certain fruits and vegetables (such as spinach, avocados, and beans) are excellent dietary sources of magnesium. Dietary supplements do not provide any benefit. Persons who live in soft water areas, who use diuretics, or who have other risk factors for magnesium deficiency may require more dietary magnesium than others.
Flaxseed, psyllium seed, slippery elm bark, marshmallow root: reduce inflammation and irritation of intestinal walls to facilitate healing. Ground flaxseeds absorb water and expand in the colon, allowing toxins and mucus to be removed. In addition, flaxseed has been found to help lower cholesterol and blood pressure levels.
Diabetes is just about one of the most common diseases there is in the United States and the numbers are only growing. A recent study, from 2015, suggested that over half of Americans have either diabetes or prediabetes (2). Since then, we can only assume that this number has grown. There’s more than one way to do a sugar detox. “Some patients feel that taking a moderate approach doesn’t really work for them and they need to go cold turkey,” Doerfler says. “But for most people, I recommend cleaning up one meal at a time and then progressing onto the next meal the following day.”
Chelation Therapy: is one of the best ways to detox and remove heavy metals from your cells and tissues. But, it can also be dangerous, so many doctors don’t recommend it unless you have moderate to severe heavy metal poisoning. Chelation therapy uses compounds called chelators that form strong bonds with heavy metals, leaving them unable to further poison your body. Chelators mobilize the toxins, and you can either pass them normally or bind them up with adsorbents like activated charcoal. Chelation therapy is very effective for removing lead, mercury, aluminum, arsenic, iron, and copper.
If you want to further accelerate the detoxification process, you should drink at least 1 cup of raw vegetable juices (with 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed or wheat grass powder), preferably 30 minutes before meals.
Just because you’re avoiding sugar doesn’t mean you need to completely eliminate carbs. Dinner is best diabetes detox you can add another whole-grain to your diet (unless you’re gluten-free). Whole-wheat pasta, couscous, or sweet potatoes are fine. If you are gluten-free, try cauliflower rice, spaghetti squash, or my favorite gluten-free pasta (made from brown rice… did I mention it’s my favorite?). FYI: 1-cup of cooked pasta is considered a serving.
There are many ways to detoxify but the most commonly used detoxifying methods are by detox diet and by ionic foot detox. Consequently, colon cleansing/detoxification can provide relief from the buildup of these toxins and illnesses such as colds, flu, constipation, diarrhea, breath and body odors, fatigue, headaches, sinusitis, allergies, hemorrhoids, weight problems, digestive difficulties, back and muscle aches, knee pain, poor eyesight, poor memory, stress, etc.

You can do strength training with hand weights, elastic bands, or weight machines. Try to do strength training two to three times a week. Start with a light weight. Slowly increase the size of your weights as your muscles become stronger.
Alpha lipoic acid, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, B12, Biotin, Coenzyme Q10, Zinc and Fish oil are also very important nutrients in the prevention and treatment of Diabetes so a multivitamin would be helpful.

Vegetable juices (raw): such as Brussels sprouts and string beans are believed to contain specific phytonutrients that stimulate the insulin receptors increasing insulin sensitivity and lowering insulin resistance.
Omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (corn, safflower, sunflower, and soybean oils and nuts and seeds) are the second choice and should account for 5 – 10% of total calories as part of total fat intake.
Patients who are taking medications that lower blood glucose, particularly insulin, should take special precautions before embarking on a workout program: Monitor glucose levels before, during, and after workouts (glucose levels swing dramatically during exercise). Avoid exercise if glucose levels are above 300 mg/dl or under 100 mg/dl.
Commercials tell you it’s heart healthy, but your morning bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios is ladened with sugar. Try picking unsweetened oatmeal, or shredded wheat cereal options, instead. For sweetness, add fresh fruit and berries.
Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes, accounting for 90 – 95% of cases. In type 2 diabetes, the body does not respond normally to insulin, a condition known as insulin resistance. Over time, some patients also run out of insulin. In type 2 diabetes, the initial effect is usually an abnormal rise in blood sugar right after a meal (called postprandial hyperglycemia).
