Vitamin C: Take Vitamin C, which helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins. However, avoid synthetic Vitamin C and get your vitamin C from vegetables and fruits or a wholefood supplement such as camu camu berry. A teaspoon of camu camu berry has 10 times the amount of Vitamin C of an orange! Add it to your juice or green smoothie in the morning.
Those of us with type two diabetes are like the canaries in the mines, they fall first, and hardest from eating the food that is on every street corner, in all our supermarkets and regrettably sold in our schools.
Since carbohydrate is the macronutrient that raises blood glucose levels most significantly, the greatest debate is how low in carbohydrates the diet should be. This is because although lowering carbohydrate intake will help reduce blood glucose levels, a low-carbohydrate diet conflicts with the traditional establishment view that carbohydrates should be the main source of calories. Recommendations of the fraction of total calories to be obtained from carbohydrate are generally in the range of 20% to 45%, but recommendations can vary as widely as from 16% to 75%.

Protein intake in diabetes is complicated and depends on various factors. These factors include whether a patient has type 1, type 2, or pre-diabetes. There are additional guidelines for patients who show signs of kidney damage (diabetic nephropathy).
Cleansing-and-detoxification is a set of normal biochemical processes performed by the body’s liver, colon, kidneys and other organs to remove chemicals, toxins and impurities from the cells, blood, and tissues.

“Good” fats. Foods containing monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats can help lower your cholesterol levels. These include avocados, almonds, pecans, walnuts, olives, and canola, olive and peanut oils. But don’t overdo it, as all fats are high in calories.
The objective of using diabetic exchange lists is to maintain the proper balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats throughout the day. Patients should meet with a dietician or diabetes nutrition expert for help in learning this approach.
Type 2 Diabetics can reduce their diabetes symptoms greatly with a good cleanse, but if they are taking meds, they should be supervised by their Health Care Practitioner. Show the practitioner the program, and keep them updated on your progress.

Simply add all the ingredients together in a blender and mix them well. Drink the mixture first thing in the morning before having breakfast. Since it takes approximately only 2 minutes to prepare, do not store the drink. Instead, make one each day after waking up for best results. Drink this for at least 3 months or longer.
This condition occurs in at least half of those with type 2 diabetes. It isn’t clear whether the condition appears more often diabetic cleanse people with type 1 diabetes than in the general population because obesity, which is a risk factor, occurs with similar frequency in both groups. Other medical conditions, such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure, also raise your risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
Medical nutrition therapy is a service provided by an RD to create personal eating plans based on your needs and likes. For people with diabetes, medical nutrition therapy has been shown to improve diabetes management. Medicare pays for medical nutrition therapy for people with diabetes. If you have insurance other than Medicare, ask if it covers medical nutrition therapy for diabetes.
In developing a menu, patients must first establish their individual dietary requirements, particularly the optimal number of daily calories and the proportion of carbohydrates, fats, and protein. The exchange lists should then be used to set up menus for each day that fulfill these requirements.
If you want to further accelerate the detoxification process, you should drink at least 1 cup of raw vegetable juices (with 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed or wheat grass powder), preferably 30 minutes before meals.
The most agreed-upon recommendation is for the diet to be low in sugar and refined carbohydrates, while relatively high in dietary fiber, especially soluble fiber. People with diabetes are also encouraged to eat small frequent meals a day. Likewise, people with diabetes may be encouraged to reduce their intake of carbohydrates that have a high glycemic index (GI), although this is also controversial. (In cases of hypoglycemia, they are advised to have food or drink that can raise blood glucose quickly, such as a sugary sports drink, followed by a long-acting carbohydrate (such as rye bread) to prevent risk of further hypoglycemia.) Others question the usefulness of the glycemic index and recommend high-GI foods like potatoes and rice. It has been claimed that oleic acid has a slight advantage over linoleic acid in reducing plasma glucose.
Eat more whole foods and get rid of the junk in your diet. You also have to get active, so start exercising. These three remedies in addition to those healthy lifestyle changes will make a measurable difference.
In relation to type 2 diabetes, eating most food earlier in the day may be associated with lower levels of overweight and obesity and other factors that reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
