GMO foods: GMO corn, soy and canola have been linked to kidney and liver disease and may promote diabetes. I suggest removing all GMO foods and all packaged foods from your diet. Opt for products that are labeled organic or GMO-free.

With type 2 diabetes, the pancreas often makes enough insulin but the body has trouble using it. This has been called insulin resistance as it appears the body has become desensitized to the effects of insulin. I was pleasantly surprised and shocked my body didn’t have a caffeine withdrawal from not having my usual 3 cups of coffee in a day. To be honest I thought I would be sluggish and extremely tired as well, I was NOT! In fact I even fell asleep each night without trouble (usually I need to take melatonin). Finally, too often we look at cleansing as a special event. It can be, but never forget that your body is built to cleanse 24/7.
