The dietitian creates a meal plan that accommodates the patient’s weight and needs, as determined by the patient’s record, and makes a special calculation called the carbohydrate to insulin ratio. This ratio determines the number of carbohydrate grams that a patient needs to cover the daily pre-meal insulin needs. Eventually, patients can learn to adjust their insulin doses to their meals.

Saccharin (Sweet’N Low). Saccharin is the oldest artificial sweeteners. Although early studies in rats indicated a potential risk for cancer, subsequent research has shown that saccharin does not cause cancer.
While juice and soda taste great, they pack huge amounts of sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. Despite juice touting healthy aspects, it’s not as healthy for you as eating fresh fruits. In addition to dropping these two beverages, another one you should consider is coffee. The caffeine in coffee may be adding to small rises in your blood sugar levels. Take the no soda (including diet), no juice, no coffee challenge throughout November and see how you feel by the end of the month. Not that many diabetics realize how much juicing can help. Some experts believe juicing properly can help improve and sometimes even reverse several health conditions, including type 2 diabetes. It only makes sense, since good nutrition can in many cases prevent the onset of the disease in the first place.
All carbohydrates (either from sugars or starches) will raise blood sugar to a similar degree, although the rate at which blood sugar rises depends on the type of carbohydrate. In general, 1 gram of carbohydrates raises blood sugar by 3 points in people who weigh 200 pounds, 4 points for people who weigh 150 pounds, and 5 points for 100 pounds.
thanks Alvin. I started doing coffee enema once a day. Fruits and Sugar. Sugars are included within the total carbohydrate count in the exchange lists. Sugars should not be more than 10% of daily carbohydrates. Each exchange contains about 15 grams of carbohydrates for a total of 60 calories.
Fresh cranberries, which contain the highest levels of beneficial nutrients, are at their peak from October through December. As cranberries grow wild in the northern regions of the United States, they are readily available in all regions during the fall months and almost always are sold packaged in plastic bags. Choose bags of cranberries with firm, plump, red berries with no signs of leakage. Uncooked cranberries can be kept in the refrigerator about a week. One cup of whole, unsweetened berries has only 51 calories and 13 grams of carb, and they are a good source of vitamin C. Fortunately, you can freeze cranberries to use throughout the year.
The serving-size guideline for seafood is the same for meat and poultry: 3 ounces. Even though fish might be more expensive than other protein sources, preparing it at home rather than ordering it in a restaurant keeps the cost down.

Hey Alvin-Thanks for responding. I’ve been on a live juice fast w/organic vegetables fast for past 5 days w/accompanying Saline Wash. I feel better but still get the feet burning sensation mildly yet intermittently since I started but not like before, usually when I’ve been sitting for a while. I haven’t gotten diagnosed yet and I’m feeling anxious about doing so. Notably I used to detox quite often years before but not as much in past few years. I do sometimes get discomfort in left hip flexor but not so much recently due to running exercise regimen. Tomorrow I will do coffee enema with rest of your cleanse protocols to follow. Any additional thoughts are welcomed and encouraged. All the best!

Both type 1 and type 2 diabetes share one central feature: elevated blood sugar (glucose) levels due to absolute or relative insufficiencies of insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas. Insulin is a key regulator of the body’s metabolism. It normally works in the following way:

Potassium and Phosphorus. Potassium-rich foods, and potassium supplements, can help lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Current guidelines encourage enough dietary potassium to achieve 3,500 mg per day for people with normal or high blood pressure (except those who have risk factors for excess potassium levels, including kidney disease and the use of certain medications). This goal is particularly important in people who have high sodium intake.
It’s not a surprise that New Year’s resolutions tend to focus on losing weight, getting healthier, and feeling better. And like most people, you want the weight off yesterday and you want to feel better now! So, even though, deep inside, you know that the smart, sensible way to lose weight and gain more energy is by taking it slow and steady, some of those quick weight-loss plans seem pretty tempting. Maybe what’s caught your attention is a “detox” diet. What can it hurt, you ask?

Patients who are taking medications that lower blood glucose, particularly insulin, should take special precautions before embarking on a workout program: Monitor glucose levels before, during, and after workouts (glucose levels swing dramatically during exercise). Let’s get right into it, shall we? When we think about the toxins that we want to avoid there are going to be four major ones that we talk about. I’m going to break them down, one by one, and will tell you where you can find them. Then, we will talk about how you can go about flushing them out of your system.
