I have cut out all meat, grains, white flour and white sugar and most solid foods. I make green savory drinks that I drink throughout the day and will eat seeds and nuts and drink water. I will make gently warmed broth based soups once in a while.
If either of these are off, there are definitely more detailed tests that you can pursue. Detailed toxicology tests can help us determine what your toxic burden is, and how it can be best treated moving forward. The toxic burden often informs the detox program.

The same principle applies to the human body – if you clean the filters (the kidneys and liver), then, this will help them to remove the buildup of toxins and waste and kill the pathogenic bacteria and parasites so that the body will run better.
Kale (and spinach) contains two pigments, lutein and zeaxanthin, that are beneficial for eye health. According to Harvard’s School of Public Health, sunlight, cigarette smoke, air pollution, and infections can cause free radicals to form. These two pigments seem to snuff out free radicals before they can harm the eyes’ sensitive tissues. They also appear to be protective against cataracts.
What you really want to think about is focusing on “small seafood.” This means focusing on fish that has been farmed on a small-scale, as opposed to larger farmed fish. A handy trick is known that the size of a fish’s mouth is related to how many PCBs are within it – so, by this logic, sardines are absolutely awesome. Shrimp and shellfish are also safe, as less of a PCB-prone contaminant.
Artichoke: contains potent polyphenols (bioflavonoids, caffeoyl-quinic acids) that work to cleanse the liver and provide antioxidant protection while it releases accumulated toxins. Artichoke increases the production of bile in the liver to aid in the digestion of fats, which can relieve bloating, gas and other uncomfortable symptoms of indigestion. Artichoke is an excellent source of fiber, and contains magnesium, folate and Vitamin C.

work. I did the 10 day detox, am on day 14 and plan to extend it for a couple of months. I lost pounds and inches. I found that eating pretty much the same thing every day made it easier for me…no choices. So I continue to make the same shake for breakfast every morning and pretty much the same lunch & dinner. Many days I’m too full to eat lunch and just do two meals. If you’ve had trouble losing weight on diets that seem to work for other people but not for you, this is worth a try. After three days my cravings for sweets went away, even though, I must admit I still have the memory of the joy of eating a donut or ice-cream. My health is more important. I suggest you also read more about how fat feeds the brain to fight dementia. There’s more to adding fat to your diet than just weight loss.
Protein should provide 12 – 20% of daily calories, although this may vary depending on a patient’s individual health requirements. Patients with kidney disease should limit protein intake to less than 10% of calories. Fish, soy, and poultry are better protein choices than red meat.
Raw Foods Cleanse: This is a temporary cleanse that advocates eating uncooked vegetables combined with smaller amounts of raw nuts, seeds, and sprouts. It’s an excellent way to detoxify the colon, liver, and other systems in the body. It alleviates the body’s need to alkalize the acidic nature of blood that results from a modern, non-alkaline diet.
Not that many diabetics realize how much juicing can help. Some experts believe juicing properly can help improve and sometimes even reverse several health conditions, including type 2 diabetes. It only makes sense, since good nutrition can in many cases prevent the onset of the disease in the first place.
Adjust the amount of ginger to your taste, or you can use finely minced fresh ginger. Use could also substitute Splenda brown sugar (I’ve done this for my diabetic dad). This is an easy side, but special enough for guests – I’ve even made it for Thanksgiving dinner.Submitted by: PSWAP57
Any form of liquid sugar calories is worse than solid food with sugar or flour. Think of it as mainlining sugar directly to your liver. It turns off a fat storage machine in your liver, leading to dreaded belly fat. You don’t feel full, so you eat more all day and you crave more sugar and carbs. It’s also the single biggest source of sugar calories in our diet. That includes sodas, juices other than green vegetable juice, sports drinks, sweetened teas or coffees. One 20-ounce soda has 15 teaspoons of sugar; Gatorade contains 14 teaspoons of the stuff in one bottle. One can of soda a day increases a kid’s chance of being obese by 60 percent and a woman’s chance of type 2 diabetes by 80 percent. Stay away!
Cantaloupe: This succulent melon gives you a double-whammy: Cantaloupe is an excellent source of both vitamins C and A. Vitamin A supports good eye health, because it helps prevent macular degeneration and improves night vision, according to the American Diabetes Association. Look for cantaloupes that have well-defined netting, feel heavy, and have a strong odor. One serving is 1 cup cubed.

Detox once or twice a year. Use a comprehensive program designed to do three things: release toxins from their storage sites; support the liver in changing them into compounds we can more easily excrete; and eliminate them from the body. This can be accomplished with a diet low in sweets and starches, regular exercise, stress management, good sleep, sauna therapy and supplements that deliver the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids needed for detoxification.
At the end of 10 days, I had lost 8 pounds, bringing my overall weight loss to 25 pounds. My lab results showed marked improvement, with improved cholesterol and a reduction in my A1c (average blood sugar over three months) from 9.8 to 6.5.
Your diet will primarily consist of poultry, fish, eggs, tofu, non-starchy vegetables, lots of greens, avocados, coconut & olive oil, nuts and seeds. You’ll get to eat a little bit of fruit in your morning smoothie and a dinner choice or two features beef.
Protein, protein, protein at every meal — especially breakfast — is the key to balancing blood sugar and insulin and cutting cravings. Start the day with whole farm eggs or a protein shake. I recommend my Whole Food Protein Shake. Use nuts, seeds, eggs, fish, chicken or grass-fed meat for protein at every meal. A serving size is 4-6 ounces or the size of your palm.
On the first day use a scant tablespoon of the molasses to each glass of lemonade and reduce insulin by about 10 units. Daily from then on reduce the insulin as you increase the molasses to 2 full tablespoons per glass. When this proportion has been reached the insulin can normally be eliminated; then replace the molasses with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup in each glass. Make regular checks of the sugar level in the urine and blood to satisfy you and eliminate any possible fear. Vita Flex and color therapy may be used to advantage to stimulate the liver, pancreas, and spleen and thus insure proper use of the minerals supplied for diabetics. Many people with diabetes have found they no longer have need for insulin after the master cleanse. Diabetics must be sure to follow every detail of the recommended lemonade diet as explained in the following pages.
1. Is there an alternative for the coffee enema? Also the coffee enema beans that you suggested were not available does it matter what brand I replace it with and can I purchase them already grounded?
Different types of fasting is a common denominator in many colon cleansing programs. Do not go on any type of fast without consulting a physician. Make dietary changes and eat vegetables rich in fiber, but do so in moderation. Start by adding one additional serving per day. Do not use a laxative. Add fruits or vegetables to the diet that have a laxative-like action to them. Add prunes to the diet, but again, use moderation. Prunes are a fruit that are high in sugar. Incorporate milk of magnesia, as this brings more water into the colon. This makes passing stools easier. Cut down on meats and drink plenty of water.
I have been a fan for a few months now and refer your site to anyone and everyone looking to make improvements in their lives, so thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and efforts! It has really helped me to get to a place I have been aiming for…I am just finishing up this detox/ cleanse and wanted to give some feed back. First, I loved the ease of the menu items. I have come to realize that eating right takes time and thought. You have to be prepared. So I made a shopping list and actually sent my hubby to the store! I love the morning tea. I have only recently started drinking tea and have acquired an affinity for the green tea with jasmine. The lemon adds a little zing that I enjoy just that much more! I made the soup first and then the quinoa salad with balsamic dressing. Both were better than I could have hoped for. I did not experience hunger pangs or cravings that first day and was super excited to hit the gym and still be going strong by the time I picked the kids up from school around 4 pm. I usually want a nap from 2-4 pm. I have been reading others’ posts and it seems I am an anomaly in that the first night I experienced a pretty significant bout of insomnia. I finally fell into a fitful rest around 4 am. Tried a different smoothie the second day and it too is something I will use over and over again. The lack of sleep didn’t seem to affect me all that much throughout the day and into the evening. I didn’t http://antidiabetes.technology/best-detox-for-diabetics.html as much trouble falling asleep but could have easily stayed up later. And today, here it is almost 11pm and I am still up…heading to bed shortly though. I feel great and wanted to thank you again! I am actually thinking about staying away from gluten and meat and most dairy for a bit longer. Blessing to you and your family for a fantastic 2013!

Alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant that helps turn glucose into fuel for the body. It effectively improves insulin sensitivity and reduces symptoms of diabetic neuropathy, such as weakness, pain and numbness that’s caused by nerve damage. Although we make alpha lipoic acid and it can be found in some food sources, like broccoli, spinach and tomatoes, taking an ALA supplement will increase the amount that circulates in your body, which can be extremely beneficial when trying to reverse diabetes naturally. Some people with diabetes need to eat at about the same time each day. Others can be more flexible with the timing of their meals. Depending on your diabetes medicines or type of insulin, you may need to eat the same amount of carbohydrates at the same time each day. If you take “mealtime” insulin, your eating schedule can be more flexible.
As a general rule, juicing vegetables delivers many more health benefits than juicing fruits, and that’s especially true for a person dealing with diabetes. Juicing can be an effective nutritional therapy, but it must be done properly and with the right ingredients. Diabetics should avoid juicing too many fruits because they are unable to properly metabolize the high natural sugar content of fruit juices.
Resistant starch is not absorbed by your body; it’s actually fuel for the bacteria in your gut. We know that dysbiosis, or imbalanced gut bacteria, is highly correlated with obesity and diabetes. Cleaning up the gut is a vital part of rebuilding health and reversing almost any disease.
Drugs used in the 1950s, for the most part, have all been taken off the market because they were shown to increase the risk of heart disease. This has even happened recently with drugs like Avandia. It was the world’s most popular Type 2 diabetes drug until it was revealed to have side effects that caused serious heart problems. New drugs haven’t proven to be much better.
