Soy. Soy is an excellent food. It is rich in both soluble and insoluble fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and provides all essential proteins. Soy proteins have more vitamins and minerals than meat or dairy proteins. They also contain polyunsaturated fats, which are better than the saturated fat found in meat. The best sources of soy protein are soy products (such as tofu, soy milk, and soybeans). Soy sauce is not a good source. It contains only a trace amount of soy and is very high in sodium.
Charcoal binds to chemicals whose molecules have positive charges, including aflatoxin and other polar mycotoxins, BPA, and common pesticides. Once the chemicals attach to the charcoal you can pass them normally via bowel excretion.
In other words, the amount of carbohydrates eaten (rather than fats or proteins) will determine how high blood sugar levels will rise. There are two options for counting carbohydrates: advanced and simple. Both rely on collaboration with a doctor, dietitian, or both. Once the patient learns how to count carbohydrates and adjust insulin doses to their meals, many find it more flexible, more accurate in predicting blood sugar increases, and easier to plan meals than other systems.
Very few people know about this, and I’m on a mission to spread this word. A simple, super cheap white powder called raw potato starch has shown astonishing potential as a surefire method to reverse diabetes. This is just one example of a super starch called resistant starch.

If you are overweight, combining physical activity with a reduced-calorie eating plan can lead to even more benefits. In the Look AHEAD: Action for Health in Diabetes study,1 overweight adults with type 2 diabetes who ate less and moved more had greater long-term health benefits compared to those who didn’t make these changes. These benefits included improved cholesterol levels, less sleep apnea, and being able to move around more easily.
Various fraudulent products are often sold on the Internet as “cures” or treatments for diabetes. These dietary supplements have not been studied or approved. The FDA warns patients with diabetes not to be duped by bogus and unproven remedies.
Richard K. Bernstein is critical of the standard American Diabetes Association diet plan. His plan includes very limited carbohydrate intake (30 grams per day) along with frequent blood glucose monitoring, regular strenuous muscle-building exercise and, for people using insulin, frequent small insulin injections if needed. His treatment target is “near normal blood sugars” all the time.
As for the rest of your meals, make sure they are full of protein (eggs, cage-free organic chicken/turkey), healthy fats (nuts, avocado, fish oils), and natural sugars (fruits and carrots). Nothing out of a bag, even if it does say sugar-free, fat-free, diet, organic, or all-natural. All foods should be raw or very lightly cooked. No carbs for the first 60 days. If you “slip up”, make sure it’s very small. Sugars spur all disease to a more dangerous level (IE Stage-1 cancer become Stage-2, disease symptoms begin to show, or chronic conditions don’t want to go away [daily migraines]).

Gallivan, RD, director of the National Diabetes Education Program at the National Institutes of Health, has this kitchen tip: “Garlic has been shown to have many healthful benefits, including lowering the risk for many cancers. But the way you treat it while preparing a dish can enhance its cancer-fighting properties. A recent study showed that letting garlic rest for about 10 minutes before it is used in cooking may enhance its cancer-fighting benefits. Chopping or crushing garlic helps to produce the active compounds that give it the distinct smell and healthful sulfide compounds. But heating it immediately after it is chopped inactivates the cancer-fighting properties.”
You never want to be in a food emergency when your blood sugar is dropping and you find yourself in a food desert such as an airport, the office, or in a maze of convenience stores, fast food joints and vending machines. Packets of Artisana nut butters and coconut butter, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, salmon jerky or turkey jerky, a can of wild salmon or sardines and unsweetened wild blueberries.
ACV has been shown to reduce the glycemic load of a specific foods. When you eat carbs and sugars, your blood sugar elevates; it essentially spikes. This continual spike contributes to a number of issues such as fatigue and dramatic cravings, which, over time can land you right in the type 2 diabetes arena.
Juicing can also help diabetics in ways that don’t involve insulin production, regulation, or the body’s metabolism and utilization of glucose. For example, juicing wheatgrass, barley grass or kelp won’t specifically regulate a diabetic’s insulin or improve glucose metabolism, but it can help lower the blood pressure. High blood pressure is a fairly common complication of diabetes, and juicing provides a natural way to help bring it under control.
The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends eating fish twice a week. Unlike many meats, seafood is low in unhealthy saturated fat and cholesterol, plus it’s a good source of omega-3 fatty acids — particularly fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, herring, lake trout, sardines, halibut, and albacore tuna. According to the American Heart Association, omega-3 fatty acids lower the risk of arrhythmias (abnormal heartbeats), which can lead to sudden death. Omega-3s also decrease triglyceride levels, slow the growth rate of atherosclerotic plaque, lower blood pressure, and curb inflammation. Further, ongoing studies are evaluating their effectiveness for decreasing the risk for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
There may be detox effects including temporary nausea, headaches, bloating or bowel discomfort. If these symptoms persist stop the program for 24 hours and resume at a lower dose. If you have any health condition or are taking medications please consult your physician before use.
Fructose, the sugar found in fruits, produces a smaller increase in blood sugar than sucrose. The modest amounts of fructose in fruit can be handled by the liver without significantly increasing blood sugar but the large amounts in soda and other processed foods with high-fructose corn syrup overwhelm normal liver mechanisms and trigger production of unhealthy triglyceride fats.
Sugar alcohols (which include xylitol, mannitol, and sorbitol) are often used in “sugar-free” products, such as cookies, hard candies, and chewing gum. Sugar alcohols can slightly increase blood sugar levels. The American Diabetes Association recommends against consuming large amounts of sugar alcohol as it can cause gas and diarrhea, especially in children.
Here’s how it works: let’s say you’re having a doughnut (which I wouldn’t recommend you do, but let’s say you did). Ingesting apple cider vinegar mixed with a little water beforehand will actually reduce the blood sugar impact of that doughnut.
About 2 – 4 hours after a meal both blood glucose and insulin are at low levels, with insulin being slightly higher. The blood glucose levels are then referred to as fasting blood glucose concentrations.
Studies show that inflammation triggers blood sugar imbalances, insulin resistance, pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. So i want to make sure i understand this right before i start, your supposed to pick one of the wake up drinks and have it each morning. On the smoothies are you only supposed to pick one and stick to it for the 3 days or can you mix it up and your supposed to have it twice a day? On the meals are you only to pick two meals for the 3 days and are you only supposed to have one meal a day or two?

She told me that her doctor told her that it was a sign of being pre-diabetic, I also have been having some blurred vision. I have been doing coffee enemas and juicing for a few years now. Every person has a different condition and must respect the inner intelligence of the body. It doesn’t sound as if the savory vegetable drinks you are making are high in sugar, which is generally problematic for both type 1 and 2 diabetics. I added a vegetable broth in the cleansing and renewal drinks that I quite enjoy for its flavor and just how good I feel when I drink it.
