Medical nutrition therapy is a service provided by an RD to create personal eating plans based on your needs and likes. For people with diabetes, medical nutrition therapy has been shown to improve diabetes management. Medicare pays for medical nutrition therapy for people with diabetes. Yep! You guess it again. There is just something extraordinary about filling up on raw vegetables and enjoying them with a wholesome and all-natural dip that can be whipped up in seconds, like the one seen here. Don’t forget that even though they are not shown in this picture, you can also enjoy enough fruit to satisfy your midday sweet tooth. If I were not cleansing, I would add a simple bean and/or grain dish on the side. All of these options are friendly to the diabetic, provided you don’t over do your intake of whole fruit.
Chia seeds are supposed to be one of nature’s super foods with 3100 mg of Omega-3 and 1050mg of Omega-6 and high in dietary fiber. They are recommended for diabetics. Although I am not diabetic, I use diabetic recipes for great low-carb choices. This recipe is modified from a dlife recipe. I only use Alaska wild caught salmon, and I drain it and remove the skin pieces so the numbers I’ve put in may not be totally accurate.Submitted by: SSSCOLLINS

As with any change in diet, it is recommended that before beginning the cleanse & detox you check with your doctor. If you are allergic to any ingredients do not include them in your cleanse. You may use an alternative.

Taking apple cider vinegar (ACV) has been found to help both type 1 and type 2 diabetics with blood glucose control. A 2004 study found that vinegar helps increase insulin sensitivity. The study followed subjects who drank 40 grams of ACV before meals; their post-meal glucose levels were 34% lower compared to when they didn’t drink the vinegar.
Fast carbs are the most dangerous foods for people with prediabetes. They are quickly digested and rapidly absorbed, which increases blood sugar and triggers release of high amounts of insulin. This in turn can trigger weight gain, food cravings and fatigue.

Juicing for diabetics helps in several ways. Raw juices contain a variety of important nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants. Diabetics will be especially happy to learn that certain vegetables, including Brussels sprouts and beans, contain natural substances that mimic insulin’s properties. Other vegetables such as onions and cucumbers contain certain nutrients needed by the pancreas to synthesize insulin. Leafy greens like spinach, mustard greens and lettuce, along with celery, asparagus, olives, radishes, carrots, cabbage and broccoli, can also help diabetics by supporting pancreatic function. Juicing can unlock the valuable nutrients in these vegetables, and doing it regularly could help diabetics.
